A major factor which has to be taken into account when considering re-locating to a new area is that of education.
Here in Northern Lincolnshire we have outstanding secondary education facilities - and results to match.
Listed by the DfES in January as the 13th best college in the country, record breaking high grades and a 98.1 pass rate in 2006 have helped continue the outstanding success story of Franklin College, in Grimsby.
Maths and science results were outstanding with 25 individual students gaining at least three A Grades at A-level.
Principal Peter Newcome says: “Franklin College leads the way in providing outstanding opportunities for students. Staff at Franklin are particularly proud of the fact that students make such a huge leap in achievement between the ages of 16 and 18. Their progress in this period has resulted in the college being placed in the top 10 per cent of colleges in the country for ‘value added.’”
