Grange Lane Infant School
The school is located close to the centre of Scunthorpe and has 183 pupils aged 3-7. Ofsted inspectors said in June 2006 there were are some outstanding features which make it a very good place to learn. They added: “The school’s success is due to its exceptional care for the pupils. The majority of them enter Grange Lane School in need of considerable levels of support if they are to be successful learners.
Many pupils have very complex emotional needs and lack the basic skills expected of a three year old. The school knows there is a mountain to climb if pupils are to reach the standards expected of them by the age of seven.”
