HEALING
One thing strikes the visitor to this most pleasant village situated on the edge of Grimsby - it’s solitude despite recent housing development.
With a population of about 2,600 recent years have seen the wind of change blow through the village with the creation of the “New Estate.” Initial fears that an influx of people may have brought too dramatic a change to the village have been dispelled.
Healing has primary and secondary schools both with excellent reputations.
Shopping-wise facilities are limited to Post Office, fish and chip shop and hairdressers.
There is no village pub, but Healing does have a British Legion social club.
The village has two local men’s football teams and a junior football club.
