Holme Valley, Bottesford, is an average-sized primary school, with 230 children from ages 4 to 11 on roll. Recent years have seen it grow considerably. Ofsted reported in February 2006 that achievement is good as are quality and standards in the foundation stage with some excellent features.
The report added: “Standards are usually above or well above average by the end of Year 2 and Year 6. However, last year’s test results in Year 6 were lower than usual.”
