KIRTON IN LINDSEY
With a population of just under 3,000 Kirton in Lindsey (locally most people drop the ‘in) is a small town in the true sense of the word.
But size does not detract from its historic links, nor its modern role as a commuter town.

Some 10 miles south of Scunthorpe, near the A15, Kirton is said to be a town of two parts.
One is the lower 'Church Town,' with its narrow, winding streets around St Andrew's Church, a large building in the Early English architectural style

the other known as 'High Town' being centred on the old market place.
An ancient market town, Kirton has a number of local shops and pubs.
