With 283 pupils aged 5-11 the school is on two sites; one housing the infant department and the other the junior department about three quarters of a mile away.
The majority of the pupils come from Messingham and surrounding villages, although some come from the nearby town of Scunthorpe. Ofsted said in October 2006: “This is a good school which has a justifiably high reputation within the local community. Pupils attain high standards.”
