With 47 pupils this is a small, voluntary controlled village primary school, situated close to the Humber estuary. It is, said Ofsted inspectors in February 2006, a satisfactory school that gives value for money. They added: “Although the nursery and reception class gives the children a good start, many do not attain the standards expected nationally.
By the end of Year 6, standards are a little below average. Pupils do better in English than in mathematics.”
