With 159 pupils aged between 4 and 11 Ofsted inspectors found in March 2007 that the school’s view of itself is a little more generous than the findings of the inspection team. They recorded that teaching and learning are satisfactory. “They are good in Reception and in Key Stage 1 where children achieve well. By the end of the Foundation Stage, standards are at the expected levels in most areas of learning. By Year 2, standards are above average.
In the 2006 Year 6 national tests, results were average and pupils achieved satisfactorily given their starting point in Year 3. Standards in writing are weaker than in other subjects, particularly for more able pupils.”
