Bottesford Town FC
Formed in 1974 and at that time a member of the Lincolnshire League, the club was at first based in a Yaddlethorpe pub, playing its games at Frederick Gough School, but moving to its present home at Birch Park in 1983.
Fielding two teams on Saturdays and three teams on Sundays, the club has had great success with its Under 18 teams in the Lincolnshire Intermediate League, having won the league in two of the last three years.
In 2002 Bottesford Town FC was recognised as a Chartered Standard Club. At the start of 2003 the club was awarded the Community Club status.
The club which has the nickname The Poachers, has six teams in the Caparo Junior League and five teams in the Kalson Junior League, many of them having achieved success at both local and national level. There is also a girls’ team and this gives players the opportunity to progress to the Bottesford Tigers Ladies team .
The club's proudest moment was in 2003 when they were awarded first the FA Charter Standard Club and then became one of the 83 FA Charter Standard Community Clubs.
