CLEETHORPES GOLF CLUB
Originally called Grimsby and Cleethorpes Golf Club when first established 113 years ago, but changing its name to Cleethorpes in 1929, this is one of the oldest courses in Lincolnshire. The course still has some of the features inaugurated by Harry Vardon and Dr McKenzie who designed it around 100 years ago.
It is a challenging course to play featuring strategic out of bounds and well-positioned bunkers.
The club offers a warm and friendly welcome and recent years have seen the 6,272 yards course improved through substantial investment in machinery and general improvements. It is beautifully presented and has a well-earned reputation for true, firm and fast putting surfaces.
TELEPHONE: Secretary, 01472 816110.
PROFESSIONAL: Paul Davies.
LOCATION: On Kings Road, just south east of Cleethorpes.
PAR: 70 (ladies 73).
GREEN FEES: Weekday - with member £12, without member £25. Weekend - with member £15, without member £30.
