Fishing Heritage Centre

For years Grimsby was the world's leading fishing port so it was only natural that a museum dedicated to the industry and its men was located in the town.

The Fishing Heritage Centre is an award winning experience of the endurance, dangers and disaster which fishermen faced as they went about their daily working lives.

Displays also give an insight into the lives of fishing families as well as re-creating what it was actually like to be on the deck of a trawler in heavy weather.

Outside the centre and moored in Alexandra Dock is the former Grimsby trawler Ross Tiger which is open to visitors.
