Grimsby Borough FC
Known locally as The Wilderness Boys the club was formed in 2003 and plays in Northern Counties East League Division One.
The club initially played in the Lincolnshire Football League, being based at the King George Stadium and its initial success allowed it to apply to join the Abacus Lighting Central Midlands Football League. But because the playing surface was too small the club was forced to move to the Grimsby Institute of Further and Higher Education for Abacus games and for the Lincolnshire League at The Chartdale Club.
In the 2004/05 season the club became eligible for promotion in to the Buckingham Insurance Supreme Division, but again ground facilities were not acceptable for the promotion which led to a new home being sought, a problem eventually resolved with a ground share agreement with Brigg Town FC in 2006/07.
Borough won their first trophy when they were winners on penalties after a 3-3 draw with Skegness Town at the York Street Stadium of Boston United to become Lincolnshire F.A Junior County Cup Champions in the hundredth year of the competition.
