A small and peaceful resort, Hornsea is a popular place with day visitors who enjoy its beaches and promenade.
Those with an interest in wildlife head for Hornsea Mere, Yorkshire's largest freshwater lake where 250 species of birds can be seen. Boat trips are available.
Hall Garth Park provides family fun and young skaters enjoy its free skatepark. For children Honeysuckle Farm provides a real life farm experience in which you can see and feed the animals.
For a look at local history there’s the Hornsea Folk Museum.
Shoppers find Hornsea a great place to be with Freeport Hornsea Outlet Village being a bargain hunter’s heaven. Here over 40 shops offer brands at up to 50 per cent off high street prices.
Getting there:
From the Humber Bridge follow the signs to Beverley.
Go into Beverley and watch out for St Mary’s Church. At the church turn right into Hengate and go straight on into Norwood (A1035).
Follow signs to Leven and take the village by-pass.
Follow signs to Hornsea.
