Baysgarth Park (Brigg Road, Barton upon Humber)

Covering 30 acres, this English Parkland leisure park provides a good range of facilities for all the family. There's an orienteering course, hard tennis courts, children's playground, six rink bowling green and football pitches. The park is also home to the popular Baysgarth Museum with displays and information about the history, archaeology, flora and fauna of the district.

Central Park (Kingsway, Scunthorpe)

Scunthorpe has long taken pride in the tag of being the industrial garden town and this picturesque park underlines the fact. The largest park in town it includes excellent ornamental gardens and a fountain. Leisure facilities reflect the quality of the park, among them being a children's playground with paddling pool and a model boating lake. The park also features football pitches, a small woodland, trim trail and an orienteering course. Car parking is free.

Humber Bridge Viewing Area (Waterside Road, Barton upon Humber)

A riverside recreation area with some stunning views of one of the world's most impressive estuarial crossings. For children there’s a play area and a number of small ponds offer fishing and pond dipping projects for schools. The ponds were created by the local tile making industry. Car parking is plentiful and public toilets are provided. From here begins the long distance footpath the Viking Way and there is also a public footpath along the river bank.

Silica Park (Scotter Road, Scunthorpe)

Another of those popular recreation areas which were developed as a result of former industrial use - this one lies on the site of what was at one time used for sand workings. Today it is described as an informal country park and has picnic and angling facilities.

Manor Park (Burringham Road, Scunthorpe)

You get a real feel of the open air in this 33 acre area of grassland which lies on a hillside. The park has a large and well equipped area for children with swings, climbing frames and slides. Manor Park is home to the annual Scunthorpe Fair, held in the second week of Easter.

Rowland Road Park (Rowland Road, Scunthorpe)

With a well equipped play area and flower gardens this pleasant park lies close to the centre of Scunthorpe in the Frodingham area. There are three hard tennis courts and a playing field.

Sheffield Park (Ferry Road, Scunthorpe)

This park lies in the Crosby area and offers a sizeable play area for children with
slides, climbing frames and swings. Also featured is an area for toddlers and families have the use of picnic tables. In the toddlers’ play area there are also a number of picnic tables. There are six hard tennis courts, a flat bowling green and changing accommodation.

Woodbine Park (Southview/Preston Drive, Brigg)

Covering six acres Woodbine Park lies next to Brigg Recreation Ground and has areas for informal games which includes a kickabout football pitch, an open sided shelter and a large selection of children's play equipment fitted on safer surfacing.
