SEACROFT
For well over 100 years golfers have been testing their skills against this classic championship links course which lies between Skegness and the Gibraltar Point nature reserve.
The course was founded with nine holes in 1895 and extended to 18 in 1900, being designed by one time Open champion Willie Fernie.
Seacroft starts in the southern suburbs of Skegness where detached homes overlook the first tee and 18th green.
It then heads towards the Wash, with eight of the outward nine heading south, the exception being the par four sixth, named Reverse, which cuts back.
A new clubhouse was opened in 2005.
There has also been a major course renovation with a programme of buckthorne clearance which has brought it back to a pure links landscape.
